Space ships out there!!!

I had another day off from being a potter.....haven't spent much time of late with my paints...so i decided to embark upon some serious colour exploration!  Rather than start (or continue) an actual painting, i'm doing some reading about colour mixing etc., and had a great time exploring colour mixing that i haven't done before.   It's such a meditative process i find.....no angst about composition etc., just wonderful surprises as i try new combos.

Then our dear friends from Big Harbor arrived to buy some pottery!   Jim and Heather O'brian are our usual poker playing buddies, but due to this situation we haven't seen them for a while....they are both in their 80's and so i think they've just been laying low.   Anyhow, they came up with their daughter Minga and granddaughter Olivia.....it was so lovely to see them all.....i yelled out to Terry as he was walking towards the house...."The O'brian's are here....bring the wine!!!"  ... so we have a lovely impromptu visit in the studio .... and they all bought some pottery too!

Like most people with gardens around here, we are being overwhelmed with zucchini.....so we tried a new way....zucchini fritters....wow, they were awesome!!!
