Little Wing

We drove over to Burford this afternoon for a change of scene. When we got home we found a small bird on the front lawn, with incredibly bright yellow wings, fully open wide.  I think it was a baby goldfinch. It was so still we weren't sure if it was alive. We left it for a while, though we were worried a cat was going to get it. I popped back after half an hour and it was in the same position, but with it's wings now closed up. As I got closer it flew off quite expertly, over the wall and into its natural world  I guess.

Burford was pretty busy in the car park and the main street, though quieter in the graveyard (extra). I always want to give this type of image a film noir treatment, I don't know why, I just cant help myself.
