wild & precious life

Another Dereliction photo for the blip challenge. Opposite this rusty container is a serene pond (see extra).

Today I walked approx 13,000 steps around the disused quarry, before aqua fit and after work. It was a drizzly day and the walks were eeerily quiet. A perimeter fence had been erected around the quarry pit, presumably to stop people falling in, but I wondered about the deer, who regularly roam here. It goes to show how long it has been since I walked here. I just haven't fancied it since our return from hols, maybe because it had become so strongly associated with lockdown.

Unfortunately I was unable to make the blip meet today due to work appointments but my mind was with fellow blippers having coffee at the quayside. Hope they had a great meet!

Managed a coffee and early light lunch with aqua fit friends, however, before starting work. It made sense given the 50% discount is still running. Wild mushroom & avocado on toasted rye bread with truffle oil. Yumm.

I'm no 6 on the gym's leaderboard which I never ever thought would happen & which I find very amusing. I've been throwing myself into exercise to get out and mingle! It feels good to see people and interact & I'm beginning to see results from the exercise too... so must keep this up! Don't want to get rusty, like this container.
