Life through the lens...

By ValC

Through the kitchen window.

Missed the dry weather this morning as we did the farm shop.
It certainly is a lot quieter on Thursday.

So my photo had to be inside looking out.
The sparrows are now " top dog" on the bird feeders, and the goldfinches have to wait their turn.

A phone call from our eldest grandson today to let us know they have moved into their new home.
Very excited to have a place of their own instead of renting.
Several hicups right until the day before they were due to move in, but all sorted now.
Can't believe how the bank and solicitors have messed them about right up to the deadline.  They were told it would be sorted by September, but R. put his foot down. Said they would be homeless, ( which was true) and it did the trick.
It was quite amusing listening to the long list of " To do's".
They were going to make do with the freezere from their old house until they could buy a new one, but when the brought it up from the cellar, it was very rusty underneath, and R said there was no way that rusty old thing was going onto his new floor, so a new fridge freezer is being delivered on Saturday.
One thing he has done already is to cut the lawn in the back garden as it was so overgrown.   Obviously takes after you know who!  Got his priorities right!!

Now looking forward to visiting them as soon as this lockdown is lifted, which hopefully will be this weekend, fingers crossed.
