Life through the lens...

Lunch break

Back Blip Friday.

Leyburn on market day.
Just managed to find a spot in the carpark by waiting for someone to leave.
As well as the normal market in the town square, it was also the cattle market and we could hear the auctioneer shouting out. Speaking ninety to the dozen as they do.
I would have liked to see this, but it was all held inside and only for the farmers.

So had a nice look round the market, bought some of my favourite French cheese, along with plums and raspberries.
Also a very nice bottle of South African red wine from Vergelegen. A vineyard we visited when we were there a few years ago.
Had a light lunch of soup ( tomato and basil) and a sandwich ( ham , pickle and salad ) Both delicious and only £5.50.

On to Bedale. Another lovely old market town, but no market today. ( see College)
However we did buy Mr C a winter shirt.
( Actually wore it on Sunday!)
Two towns we look forward to visiting again.

My main blip is of these two characters sat outside their Antique shop in Leyburn.

See Map.
