escalier menant à la entresol

"Entresol" is French for "mezzanine" and today’s Blipfoto is the picture answer to a question posed by Heanku.

When we created our house, we used the stair to the pulpit to create an access to our Entresol. This also forms the ceiling to the rabbit run.

The pulpit was effectively freestanding with metal stays to steady the structure.

The Entresol has space for a writing desk and chair. The two glass fronted bookcases came from a Confectioners Shop in Dunblane.

At the other end is a lounger from Ikea and finished in water buffalo leather.

The pulpit can also be used as a study space, although the seat is very narrow indeed.

Somewhat surprisingly for the summer bank holiday weekend it looks likely we will have sunny weather.
