Bagged

Here's our Merry in a custom fit bag. She looks rather cross, but she was very satisfied with her cozy brown bag hide-out. The local Shaws grocery store has these new, shorter bags (and thankfully no plastic) for groceries. I did remove the handles so she wouldn't get a limb caught when exiting. That has happened with other bags and other cats leading to frantic bag trailing racing about the house. She settled in for a bit, then when back to chipmunk and bird watching on the screened piazza. The life of a pampered cat.

She's adjusting to her anti-itch meds, some of the minor early side effects seem to have passed. She began shedding more, sleeping more(cats sleep about 16 hours per 24 it seems)and eating less. Things seem to have leveled off now.  When she begins her third month of the meds in a week or so, she will go to every other day with the capsule. Hopefully there won't be any break through itchy spots with the new dose. I wish she could eat something other than the prescription Royal Canin canned rabbit, but she does eat it . She does have some special prescription treats as well, she would prefer to eat just those, so I dole them out very sparingly. It's such a change from Raspberry who could and did eat EVERYTHING, especially what we were eating. Mealtime is more pleasant for us now actually without a cat on a stool between us!

For the Record,
This day came in warmer than yesterday, but still pleasant. We did get a good rainstorm yesterday afternoon.
