Perfect Day

The title and the image seem a bit contradictory but it was a wonderful day, full of laughter and happiness.  The trusty old Micra got us to Lochbuie okay and we walked from where the new cafe is, along the shore, checked out Moy Castle and then on to Laggan sands (saw two golden eagles too) where we had a swim.  When we came out H spotted a sheep's skull in a rock pool so I pulled it out, only to find it hadn't quite decomposed (still had the remains of an ear).  Luckily in these Covid times I had hand sanitizer, so a quick sloosh of that and a photo and then tipped it back into the rock pool with an old shoe I found.

Our timing was perfect - it got more breezy and colder as we ate our picnic and then wandered back to the cafe for tea and good cake.  Drove back home and M made a delicious roast dinner for us.

Have included a couple of extras of the inside of the castle (taken by putting the camera through a gap under the door) and Laggan sands.

And can I just say a big thank you to everyone for their lovely comments etc for yesterday's blip, I was over-whelmed!!
