A Walk in the Woods

I joined H for a walk through Beeston Common and Pretty Corner Woods this morning.  After a rather gloomy start the sun came out and the dappled light shining through the trees was very attractive.
There were plenty of wild flowers on the common, including great swathes of Common Fleabane and Wild Mint (see extra), along with some Rosebay Willowherb and Himalyan Balsam.  It was lovely to see an abundance of berries on the Rowan trees too...that will please the blackbirds!
