A Happy Discovery

M and I went to Norwich today.  M went to see the new Christopher Nolan film called Tenet at the IMAX Cinema.  I took the opportunity to go wandering with my camera and came across a little gem.  A church called St Julian's tucked away behind some houses on King Street.  Apparently it was almost completely destroyed by a bomb in the Norwich blitz in 1942, when the tower took a direct hit.  It was rebuilt and re-opened in 1953.  It's a tiny church with a pretty side chapel which had a leaded glass window through which one of the stained glass windows in the main church could be seen.
There was a beautiful feeling of peace and tranquillity inside, I was the only one there and it was a real pleasure to visit this lovely church.
