Wigan Flashes Nature Reserve

Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2020

We didn't hang around this morning as it was a lovely day. We went to Wigan Flashes Nature Reserve, the one I discovered recently. It was a lovely walk, with lots of photos along the way. This was taken from a bridge over the Leeds Liverpool canal. It was really kind of the narrow boat to come along just as we were going over. I love the way the water is so still in front of it, it's as though the boat is breaking through, like ice.

It was quite a long walk so we were out all morning. The afternoon was spent tidying up and preparing a lovely roast dinner as a treat. The meal was a bit of team work!
