It must mean something [Day 21]

Although lockdown officially ended on Sunday at midnight, many are continuing to work from home, and the hospital has not reduced its alert level. The unit doors remain locked; only one visitor at a time is allowed in; no unescorted (by staff) leave is allowed. I did authorise leave for a young wome with her parents and sister, as it was her birthday; with very clear instructions not to associate with anyone else. They went to a west coast beach and kept away from all others.

We continue to have new community transmission cases; five yesterday. No sign yet of it petering out. That the country is doing the right thing by insisting on quarantining all arrivals from overseas, is shown by the ongoing new cases found by universal testing of those in quarantine.

Quite a long day today. On the way home I had to stop at the KRoad/Newton Road corner. A mass of drawing on the footpath means something to someone. Arrows, lines, letters, different colours. Perhaps a way of showing what happened when the Detour ended.
