Helena Handbasket

By Tivoli

I left my friends and crossed Bristol to hook up with a nephew who was keen to discuss the elephant in the room. I was particularly fascinated by this Hindu Temple in a building which was obviously once a Christian church; the installation of a jet engine in the centre of the main front window and also the decorative hinges on the entrance doors completely altering the architectural language of the building.
A mad dash back across Bristol involving both a rucksack and a bicycle in order to catch a train to Oxford which was diverted via Gloucester making me an hour later than intended anyway.
Greeted with disapproving looks from these stony-faced characters but a warm welcome from the spidery sister.
