Dusty memories

Met my brother and wife . So good to see them after 9+ months.
Met at my uncles house. He hasn't lived there for well over 20 years and wants to sell it.  We called to see if there was anything we needed to collect before the house was gutted and put up for sale.
Blip is of the entrance to the house.  An obstacle race over brambles and mini shrubs growing over the path
Oh what a state was the interior. It looked as if it was abandoned.. which it was but there was so much stuff! Lots and lots of cardboard boxes.. empty. And lots and lots of you name it , it was there. Perhaps the most disconcerting was a box of unopened but very old fireworks

As we clambered over everything and disturbed so much dust I ended up wearing my mask.  Not because of Covid more because the dust was  making me cough
He  had a lot of plants.. He had a lot of plants that had died and their dead leaves seemed to have exploded all over the place.
We spent some time searching to check nothing of value was left. We found the many first edition stamps hed collected  for over 70 years and he will be grateful weve found those .
Turns out he used to be an avid photographer..I found several different cameras but none important or well known. It was interesting looking at his photos from the 50s .

We emerged into what turned out to be very warm sunshine . We stood and chatted for quite a while, weve several months to catch up.
My other  brother sent a message to say he was all set to meet up tomorrow! Typical he got the days wrong but it does mean we will  be having the Clan gathering tomorrow and this time we shall sit with food and drink and not be covered in dust. I just hope he takes care on the road as hes coming on his Royal Enfield .
