We Survived

The girls had a good long sleep last night - 13 hours - waking up around 8 this morning. Result.

After breakfast (banana eggy bread - a must have at Grandma and Grandad’s) we went out in the garden where we played football, eat the fresh raspberries, climb on Grandad and numerous other activities and games.

We packed up a picnic and headed off to Woodlesford Lock - southeast Leeds - and after eating lunch we wandered down the canal towpath a little way.

Back to the car park where we met up with daughter and husband and handed the little perishers girls back! They weren't really any trouble at all, apart from one ‘terrible two’ meltdown from the youngest as she wouldn’t hold hands (an essential near the water) and didn’t want to go in the pushchair. She was put in the pushchair - and eventually decided that she would walk holding hands - a grandparent win in my book!

Blip photo is of a couple of characters we found along the edge of the canal.
