A little ray of sunshine

SUPper Day

It was an eventful night with a storm much greater & longer than forecast!

We all decided that we weren't up for staying for the next storm having had one tent taken out, most likely by a flying gazebo, and covid restrictions meaning we were all sticking to our own tents. 16 hours with up to 53mph winds didn't sound like much fun.

Plan B was to make the most of the day so K & I were up early and out paddling on the lake. The wind had dropped & the sun was out making it a glorious start to the day. After breakfast it was on with the running shoes and our onto the fell and another 12km ticked off out GNR Solo challenge.

The rest of the day was spent out on the lake with the kids, swimming & paddling whilst intermittently returning to the tent to get packed up.

We all enjoyed dinner together and then headed home. A very brief but action packed and fun camping trip!!
