This is a favourite spot for our local fox to sun himself. It is an open patch in the wooded marl pit that is on the edge of our garden. I zoomed in on telephoto to get a clear picture of him, and at this great distance he heard the click of the camera. His eyes didn’t leave me until I moved on when he relaxed and went back to sleep. Some years we have fox families but this year we haven’t seen more than just this one. N doesn’t like them coming through our garden so he has blocked off their hole under the fence. My extra shows the view without the telephoto, and I think you can just make out the fox way down at the bottom in a patch of sunlight.
