Orpine

Orpine, Sedum telephium, is found plentifully along the hedgerow leading off Beehive Lane. It is flowering now, and attracts late flying insects. It is widespread in the British countryside and often found in hedgerows but overlooked when not in flower as the leaves are rather nondescript.
We were making the best of a slight break in the rain although a passing shower caught us.
We fed the bees with syrup as I don’t think they will be out foraging any time soon.
