Fannie Lou Hamer's observation

Weekend with Sue. Walking around her neighborhood, we spotted this on a telephone pole: home made. Someone's spontaneous means of putting this beautiful observation into the world.

For those who are interested in what's going on in Portland: a very long, richly detailed, accurate history of our 100+ days of protest, the violent response of the police and federal agents, and the ways that State-sponsored violence increases the commitment of young people to fill the streets with resistance.

Despite violence, mayhem, and now two deaths, most of the city is peaceful and filled with a kind of mutual wrinkled forehead of dismay.
