Beauty is all around us.

The Beauty of trees.

I love trees and felt very sad recently when a beautiful tall old Sycamore tree was felled in Rishton, the reason being it was said to be diseased.
I had photographed that awseome tree in many seasons and it was with enormous grief that I walked past it last week and saw the trunk felled and the enormous gap it left in a place where its natural beauty made that place more enlivened. Trees connect us to our Creator and I believe they are able to contain wisdom and because most of us do not really appreciate this properly we miss out on the immense value of trees, both spiritual and environmental.Rare people like Eileen Caddy and those who commune with nature realise the interconnection we all have with the Nature and Angelic realms.
So this morning I went on a lone walk attempting to bring together a collection of photos of some of the immensely lovely trees in Rishton.
We can't bring the Sycamore back to life, but I look upon this blip as a kind of tribute to all the trees lost for various reasons.
A lawyer called Polly Higgins is working on a law called Ecocide, which aims to protect the life of trees and anyone inteested can Google Ecocide and kindly back her compassionate campaign.
Thanks.
