Beauty is all around us.

Maria's Footprints and snow covered plants.

Thanks so much all who dropped by to comment and chat about trees on the Blip for Tuesday.
I think many are waking up to the reality of how, over the years, a lot of trees and environmental beauty has been devastated and we need to re think so much, to protect what is left.
Be it the rainforest or the local ancient woodland, it all needs to be ring fenced and protected for future generations.
Today's Blip is something much closer to home and very simple.
These are my daughter's footprints in the snow as she went to college.
I think having a cold and feeling emotional makes me more reflective, if that is possible, because as a mother and Granny, I am already pretty much that way.
Parents of very young children tend to treasure first hand prints and draw around their child's feet and keep these precious memories in scrapbooks.
Maria is 18 now and this is a key year in her life.
The longest journey begins with a single step? Very true and quite a profound thought. We rarely know the true environmental impact of that step, until the consequences are made apparent. Our One Planet group have thought long and hard about environmental responsiblity and energy use.
From a Chinese philosopher, someone please remind me of the name!
May each step be one of beauty and peace.
Since this morning I have changed the blip, while keeping Maria's footprints.
There is the addition of a beautiful Fatsia plant and another evergreen shrub covered in snow.
