Pond visitor

We were back to dreich weather today but things were brightened dramatically when a beautiful Dipper came to find its lunch in our pond. I watched it for about half an hour while it dived and then surfaced with some delicacy, then rested for a while on the rocks at the edge. It's the best sighting I have ever had of a Dipper but all the photos were taken through the kitchen window so they aren't great. However, the memory is sharp and bright.
