Hawks Head

Zipping up and down the canal fighting off the darters and the browns a dragons life is never easy. this is a migrant hawker and you can see that by the small yellow markings just behind its head. A blue body means a male and the female with a green body was egg laying in the reeds.

Loved the challenge of getting a flight shot - yet again -  but the down side of the shot and I'm picky now about angle, is that I wasn't level. On the canal bank there is a drop so getting to their height isn't really an option.
