Arachnophobes...look away now.

This is not one of the 21 most common  autumn spiders according to Metro.co.uk so I can't identify it. It was trying to hide on one of the canes that I've put round my pond for passing dragons and damsels to rest on so that I could photograph them more easily.  A common darter visited the pond and I waited hopefully. He was too busy to settle anywhere but I spotted the spider and nominated him for today's blip.
