This church would have to feature in my unintentional series of Drymen buildings of historical interest. The date above the door is 1771, but there has been a place of worship on the site for much longer than that. If you're interested, here is a link to more information on the church's history.

I didn't see the earliest gravestone, dated 1618, when I had a wander round the graveyard this afternoon, though as you can see, there are lots of very, very old gravestones.

The two gables on the right house the new annexe which was completed nearly two years ago and for which fund-raising by the congregation is continuous.

Heavy snow is forecast for tomorrow in this area. I hope they've got it wrong...
