Altocumulus floccus

Just a blue sky during daytime. But later in the afternoon, when the sun went down and the temperature dropped, the first clouds appeared.
This time it is a Altocumulus floccus. This particular species of Altocumulus is described as floccus because it is a version of the cloud that has the appearance of Cumulus-like tufts. As is often the case with floccus species of cloud, it is accompanied by trails of precipitation which don't reach the ground. These are known as virga.
I think it is an Altocumulus, not a Stratocumulus, like yesterdays Blip, because of the altitude.
