Starling

It's not unusual to see hundreds of starlings gathering on the electricity wires nearby, but it's rare that any visit our garden. Suddenly, a raucous couple of dozen descended this morning - a wonderful sight! Most were quickly off again, once the seeds on the ground were depleted, but a couple stayed at the seed-feeder for a while, surprising, but not discouraging, our regular, smaller birds.
