River Thame

We crossed the county boundary again today.  This marker is on an old footpath bridge across the River Thame, which forms the county boundary, in the market town of the same name.  The river rises in Buckinghamshire and flows into the River Thames in Oxfordshire.  As it flows through Thame, it meanders through water meadows in the old Anglo-Saxon settlement.

We were on our way to a garden pond centre, where we ordered a fibreglass pre-formed pond liner to be delivered next week.  We dream of goldfish and water lilies, but first we need to dig a very big hole!
