Fun on the lake in Mote Park

Pretty good weather which belied the forecast which was for light cloud. Warm too in the sunshine, especially at the allotment.

Fortunately, the many disparate, unconnected things, some of them unknown when we woke, worked out in the end.

Susan phoned the doctor’s for consultation about her mum, not knowing when they’d call back or if we would need to visit or take something to the surgery. The strangest thing was that the doctor prescribed antibiotics, didn’t want to see Doreen and said that one of the of the practice nurses would call tomorrow to see if a visit was necessary.

Meanwhile, at home, the roof on Susan’s studio was being replaced, we didn’t know when that would be completed. We managed a walk after everything had been done, hardly leaving us time for lunch before Susan too her mum out for some fresh air at the local garden centre. Mote Park provided today’s blip. This is the body of water which would drain away should the dam wall fail. (see Monday’s blip)

While she was out, I went weed bashing at the allotment, cooked dinner and rounded off the evening with a Zoom Marmite Ukulele Jam.

Phew!
