Anne's Daily Encounters

Ladies Night

It's 25 years ago that we met first time and now we celebrated our friendship with a dinner for 6. We'd been a group of 10 when we started off, but 2 died over the years and 2 moved away and out from the group, so we're six lady friends now. Here's a picture from our previous lustrum, when we still had our blond friend with us ~ in the extra the other 3 friends at the other side of the table... the COVID-19 measures of 1,5 mtr apart we didn't fully manage... next to each other was like 1 metre

September 11th is a day of divers commemorations for me; 1973 the coup in Santiago, Chili and the death of the country's PM Salvador Allende... that day I was in Luxembourg with tourists on a day out and we'd heard that news on the radio in the bus.
9/11 in New York in 2001; that news I heard from my son when arriving home from work... he had the tele on in our home and I heard loud  sirenes when getting in and saw smoke galore on the screen when entering the livingroom with tele on and told him to close that down as he should study and not watch another shitty disaster film... Then he told me this was no disaster film, this was real drama live from New York!  We all remember that day and ever since our lives has changed worldwide as we had to become more vigilant and scrupulous.
