Sunny Saturday

This was late afternoon at Sand Bay, Kewstoke, Somerset. The two photos were taken seconds apart, but pointing in opposite directions. The sky was blue, but I was pointing the camera straight into the low sun to catch its reflections in the water, which might explain its colour. Either that or it's caused by particles in the air travelling from America's dreadful fires, five thousand miles away, which apparently turned our skies orangey last night. We had a clear view of the Welsh coast across the Severn this evening though.

Somerset County Council is very specific with its distances on this signpost - right down to the nearest quarter of a mile! I love traditional signposts, so it had to be included.
