Peaceful spot

Out for a walk before breakfast and had to carry Hetty back as she got stung by a wasp on her foot. She yapped and started biting her foot and when I looked there was a wasp in her pads, we got it off but she was shaking and wouldn’t put her foot down. Bathed it when we got in and she sat quietly for about an hour but then seemed OK. We decided to walk without her but she made it clear that wasn’t going to happen so we took her and she was fine. Lovely walk to an old chapel and had lunch looking at the residence, really peaceful and then back via a very steep hill, downwards thank goodness. The chapel is one of the oldest Methodist chapels in the world, originally build in 1750 and then rebuilt in 1875.
The path goes through a garden and the lady at the house was not happy about people using it, we passed a walker that said he had been shouted at, but we try to get round without using the path by crossing a stream if the water is low, and it was today.
It was so warm and sunny, very summery. The highlight was a young deer in the woods, but it was gone before I got a shot.
Just about to watch Strike. The new book is out this week and not sure whether to order or wait for paperback.
