Morning Cobwebs

A misty morning with a cloud recession in the valley in front of us. It's called a 'Larry' in these parts, not sure why, it may be a corruption of something french. The early sun was shining through the mist and lighting up these dew-drenched cobwebs on a cypress. Once the mist cleared it's become a lovely day and very warm.

It's our wedding anniversary today so we went off for lunch at Orestone Manor on the outskirts of Torquay. We intended to get there early and have a bit of a walk before lunch but as it turned out we only had half an hour, that's ten minutes to walk down and twenty minutes to walk back up the very steep hill. The coastal path provides a great view of the five cruise liners resting offshore. It's quite hazy out there and makes an extremely wide (and fairly boring) panorama. It was a nice place to be and we had a lovely lunch.
