Bottoms blacked

We managed a quick walk out tonight as hubby got home from walk on time. The barges which were lifted out of the water a couple of weeks ago have had their bottoms blacked and look like new again. There were a few people fishing but the towpath was otherwise fairly quiet.

Got my ironing done, cleaned the bathroom and then made yet more Christmas cards. Another lovely warm September day, just a shame it gets dark so early now.
