Passing Wake

Soft hazy light in the early evening reflecting off the water surface disturbed only by the wake of occasional passing boats. Sometimes it takes a while for waves to hit and then, for a few seconds, there is a surge in activity.

Experimenting with shutter speed to see how distorted the reflections become, which also depends on the strength of each wave. I like that some of the wavy reflections disappear to a faint echo which contrast with the straight bold upright lines of the reeds.

I don't normally go for the Fuji Pro Neg Std film simulation profile, but in this case the slight desaturation effect seems to help.
