Last Day

Last day of our Northumberland adventure today. I could stay for weeks!
We packed everything up (put the kettle away!), drove from the campsite to the little car park by the beach opposite and headed out for one last walk.
As the Little Misses didn’t come with us to Low Newton by the Sea yesterday we decided to walk to The Ship for lunch. It’s such a gorgeous walk along the Coast Path.
The pub was absolutely heaving when we got there, queuing out of the door but as Mr K got to the front of the queue a table cleared inside and Miss E, in her role as chief table getter, grabbed it. Inside the pub was decorated so beautifully, it was magical.
Lunch was amazing! An enormous ploughman’s for Miss L. (see extras) and local kipper fish cakes for me. I can’t remember what Miss E and Mr K had, probably ham and cheese toasties!
Then it was time to walk back to Marshall and head home. But not before Archie and one last mad half hour on the beach and in the sea. He loves it!!
It was an easy journey home. We left at about half past three and got home at half past eight. it was funny coming in and seeing all the Christmas decorations, Christmas seems like months ago!
