Do you take salt with that?

Walk this afternoon with Mrs. K. along the broad expanse of mud/sand between Silverdale and Far Arnside.
Bright sunshine and no breeze. Hot. And difficult bright light for landscape pictures.

The main shot is a butterfly puddling. They can often be found taking up salt which is clearly important to them. Sometimes in France and Spain we have found large numbers in patches of damp mud in woodland.
It is the first time I have seen this happening here.
