Morning walk with friends

Really good early Autumn day. Sunshine and no wind.

Went with friends for a couple of hours walk round Roudsea Wood National Nature Reserve.

It is one of the best places in the north west for Fungi. But apart from some brackets there were none. With fungi timing is all important and we must have been ten days or two weeks too soon. On previous visits I have seen hundreds including uncommon ones.

So my blip I believe to be what the book calls an over mature female Common Darter. There are times when I feel over mature too.

My extra was rather trickier to identify. But I think it is Lenzites betulina. If anyone can tell me otherwise I should be pleased to know.
