In the Oak Wood

I think it was only recently that I realised that most of the trees in this small wood are oaks. It is reasonable to believe that they must once have been spread over a far larger area. The trees bordering the nearby golf course are also predominantly oak. At least something remains of this once fine forest. I'm not a tree hugger, but I do respect these fine trees.
