Juvenile

I think this is a young black headed gull but am happy to be corrected. We had a nosy around Wareham this morning and then went to visit the RSBP reserve at Arne. We walked a modest five miles today. The route involved a small beach which looks across Poole Harbour to Bournemouth, Poole, and the small islands dotted around the harbour. We found a wooden bench in the shade where I could have sat all afternoon watching the bird activity but my husband can never get comfortable sitting down so we didn’t stay as long as I would have liked. The gull was quite happy looking for morsels on the water’s edge. Another very warm day today.
