Ingleborough

We made the most of this brief return to Summer by driving out early to Ingleton and taking a walk up Ingleborough.  My blip is actually taken on the descent as it was very hazy first thing, but the sun (and the heat!) came out as we made our way back down.

We took in the views from the summit and we could see as far as Morecambe Bay in one direction, and beyond the Ribblehead Viaduct in another.  In yet another direction, Pendle Hill was poking out from an inversion.

We had thought about being adventurous and having a cuppa back in Ingleton, before the drive home, but all the cafes were full and there were too many folks for us to feel comfortable around.  Instead we drank the rest of the tea from the flask and ate our Tunnocks in the car before heading home.
