The delivery was promised any time between 7am and 1pm, so I was up and ready in case it arrived at the start of that time window.  In fact it arrived about 10.20.

It looks a small delivery compared with everything else on the lorry.  It was bags of topsoil, which he dumped on the front drive.  I then spent nearly an hour transferring the bags (2 at a time in a wheelbarrow - they were rather heavy) round to the back garden and piling them neatly in the garden store.  I am now left with a pallet to dispose of.

The next job is to dig the bare patches of the lawn and spread topsoil and grass seed.

Never a dull moment.
