Dusk, Cullipool

A long and varied day. Lunchtime visit at Bridge of Orchy , the most north eastern part of my constituency, to discuss the ongoing difficulties with the water supply and to see if, together, we could work out some new approaches to getting a resolution to something which should never have been allowed to continue for so long.

Then a drive across Argyll to get the wee ferry to Luing where I held a surgery and then attended a community council public meeting to talk about amongst other things, the prospect of a fixed link to the island. Lots of good questions including some about independence.

I was back on Seil Island at 9.00 but didn't get home until half past midnight - the A83 was closed at Cairndhu because of an accident and I had to drive all the way round by Loch Lomond adding an hour and a half, and sixty miles, to my journey.

The blip is dusk in the village of Cullipool on Luing where the new Atlantic Islands Centre is about to be built, which will be a fantastic asset to the island , to Argyll and to Scotland.
