Open Again

Waddesdon Manor has had its grounds open to the public for some time since Lockdown but only opened the House today. Only the ground floor can be viewed and the numbers than can enter is controlled although there are no tickets and no extra charges. Visitors just queue and are let in as soon as there is enough space. It worked well. Fortunately September is usually a quiet month once the schools are back and everyone who wanted to come in was able to do that.

It was lovely to be back as a Volunteer and catch up with others I haven't seen for a long time. We had to wear face coverings, as did our visitors, but there was still plenty of scope for interaction with them.

The House will be open until 1st November and then closed right through to next March. The grounds will have the Christmas fair and be decorated with Christmas lights and displays.
It's been a tiring day though.

Today I achieve 2500 blips! I'm amazed - but it becomes a way of life and a means to record every day, no matter how insignificant. Thank you to all my followers for support along the way; many good friends made with a lot of fun too.
