Smile for the Camera

G and I had a lovely walk in the sun around Pensthorpe this morning, we were looking for fungi but I think it's too early. Always lots to photograph at Pensthorpe though, the amazing cattle were behind a wire fence thankfully. I've included a photo of a duck and ducklings in Extras, a bit concerning as it's a bit late in the year to start a new family.

Day 186 / Full Day 178 of Lockdown / Day 4 of Rule of Six (for my record only)
UK deaths up 21 to 41,705 (revised basis), with new daily cases up by 3,395 and 988 patients in hospital. Total global cases to date passed 30m last night, up 1m in 3 days. Weekly cases in Europe now exceed the numbers in March. New restrictions introduced in the North East from tomorrow. People in Northumberland, North & South Tyneside, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland and Country Durham are prohibited from socialising with people outside their household or social bubble; there will only be table service in bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants; and those venues and other leisure and entertainment venues to close between 10pm and 5am. A further £2.7bn is being allocated to the NHS. The head of Test & Trace said she doesn't believe 'anyone was expecting to see the really sizeable increase in demand' for tests - unbelievable given the rapid rise of cases in France and Spain, the collapse of social distancing, eat out to help out in Aug and kids going back to school and getting coughs!!!  However, the fact that 3 times as many people are being referred to T&T than at the beginning of August is worrying. At last the UK Nations add countries together to their quarantine list - Slovenia and Guadeloupe. Thailand and Singapore are being removed from England's list.
