Chinese New Year display in the IFC

I'll never understand what mall displays are based on ... and as much as there are peach blossoms and lai sees hanging off, I'm just not getting the pandas!

Dragons, snakes (as it's the Year of the Snake!) I would understand, but pandas? Everyone seems to be enjoying the display and taking loads of photos, so I joined in the bandwagon and took a photo too. We were all eagerly waiting to see what the IFC (International Financial Centre, which has a shopping mall on the first 2 levels) would do as they always have beautiful displays for Christmas, etc. so this was a bit of a surprise. But its Chinese ... and so that's good.
