Peach blossom with Lai See

I still haven't managed to get to see a lion dance this CNY :(. Would have loved to have blipped that as I have plenty of pix from other years ... NEVERTHELESS, I found a peach blossom with lai see packets (without the money) hanging off which I thought might make an interesting blip.

I've always wondered why they do this, but I suspect just as we hang decorations off a Christmas tree, the lai see make for colourful decorations.

This tree is at our Resident's Recreational Club reception,in the plaza, the centre for much of the sports and exercise facilities here.
