Wanderings & Witterings

Croy Hill

Several bits and pieces done on the computer in the morning, and more not done, but took advantage of the fine weather to drive over to Auchinstarry in the afternoon.

Walked through Nethercroy woodland and up Croy Hill (pictured from Auchinstarry Marina at the end of my walk) before descending onto the Forth and Clyde Canal and returning to my car from there. Met quite a few other people who had the same idea, several doing the dog-walk thing. Apart from that, it was a very pleasant short local walk indeed.

Apparently if I had been earlier I would have seen the 'NHS Spitfire' taking off from Cumbernauld Airport and flying overhead on its current UK tour.
