Conference Pear

Today’s picture is of one of the conference pears on our young pear tree. It is extremely hard and I doubt it will ripen before the deer get it. The pears on the lower branches of our very old pear tree have all been eaten by the deer, except a few windfalls, which have been nibbled by the rabbits.
