From Wearyall Hill To The Tor

Up early to drop Sophie off at school, then back to get ready for visitors.

Our friend, Christine, who Tess used to work with for Thomas Cook in Harrods back in the 70s, called in to see us at lunchtime today. She's been glamping in Dorset with a friend this week and stopped on their way back to London for lunch and a catch up.

After they'd left to tackle the A303, Chris joined us for a walk across the fields where I took this view of Wearyall Hill with Glastonbury Tor behind it. Despite appearances, the Tor is about a mile beyond the Hill. The small tree to the left of the Tor in the thumbnail is one of the Glastonbury Thorns, on the site where Joseph of Aramathea's staff turned into the original one, according to legend.
